Frances Elizabeth Mazzarini

Frances Elizabeth Mazzarini, 70, of Long Beach, California, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 30, 2025, surrounded by her husband, daughters, and son-in-law.

Born on October 8, 1954, in Long Beach, Frances worked for more than 20 years as a recreational aide for the Long Beach Unified School District, touching the lives of countless students. Her greatest and most cherished role, however, was caring for and loving her family.

Frances is survived by her devoted husband of 49 years, Jerry Mazzarini; her daughters, Anna, Susan, and Mary; and her son-in-law, Jonny. To each of them, she gave the gift of unconditional love—Anna will miss her mom’s warm hugs, Mary will miss her mom’s infectious laugh, and Susan will miss the daily phone calls. Jerry will forever miss his best friend and love of 51 years.

Known for her creativity, Frances loved cooking and baking, sewing, crocheting, crafting, and gardening. She was the best holiday decorator, made the most delicious homemade spaghetti sauce and frosting, had the most beautiful handwriting, and adored bunnies. She cherished family trips to Disneyland and delighted most in doting on her husband, daughters, and loved ones.

Frances’ legacy is one of love, laughter, and devotion to family. She will be deeply missed and remembered always with joy and gratitude.
