Frances's obituary

Frances I Guevara (Victorino) Born Jan 20, 1949 - Entered into Eternal rest June 7, 2021

Born and raised in Laton, California to Frank and Frances Victorino. Her family knew her as “Chickie”

Many would hear her stories of working on the family dairy, walking to and from school, and hanging out with her favorite cousins.

She graduated Lyles Beauty College, making her living doing hair and cleaning houses while living in Pismo.

In 1974 she married Tommy “Tomas” Guevara, and they started their family. Frances was able to stay home and take care of her children. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family. Once the kids started school, she stayed involved as a room mother. One year, baking a total of 90 cupcakes for the classrooms party. Tommy and Frances lived in Riverdale, Lemoore, and finally settling in Hanford, CA. After retiring from Hacienda Health Care, Frances moved to Fredericksburg, VA. where she lived with her daughter Tammi and her family for the last 6 years.

Frances is survived by her sister, Alice Williams of Bullhead City, AZ, Daughters, Michelle (Tim)Carrillo of Apple Valley, CA: Tammi (Rick) Harris of Fredericksburg, VA, Son; Raymond (Dee) Guevara, of Hanford CA. 11 grandchildren: Jody (Max) Ferkins of Burns Flat, OK.; Cody (Sarah) Gilbert of Rio Dell, CA; Kyle (Bailey) Gilbert of Corcoran, CA; Taylor(Troy) Welsh of Ft Meade, MD; Kayla, Hannah, Riann, and Savannah Harris of Fredericksburg, VA., Michael, Dayton, and Jazmine Guevara of Hanford, CA and 7 great grandchildren, Neva, Maeve, Blane, Wade, Axton, Benett, and Emma. Being a Va was her greatest joy.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Frances Victorino; her husband, Tommy, and her son, Thomas Michael.

Cooking was her specialty. Anyone that came to visit, always left with a full stomach. Those that knew her, could always enjoy a warm meal, hot cup of coffee, and great conversation. Sunday breakfasts were her favorite to prepare. She always had a feast and loved to have everyone around her table enjoying her cooking.

Baking was another amazing talent. Growing up the kids could come home after school to warm homemade cinnamon rolls being pulled right out of the oven. Baking cakes became an extra way to earn money, but turned into a passion. Many may have had a birthday cake, anniversary cake or even their wedding cake made by her. Whatever it was she made, it was made with pure love.

Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the loves of her life. She never missed a birthday, or an event. She always had a smile, a kiss and a great big hug. She may be gone from this earth, but she lives on in our hearts, and in our memories. She was an amazing mom, and the best Va anyone could have asked for. Her angel wings were ready, but our hearts were not. She is deeply missed.

Her kids and grandkids are having a private gathering in honor of her life.

Graveside burial will be held Monday, Nov. 1; 11:00 am at Oak Grove Cemetery in Laton
