Frances's obituary

Frances Hallas, age 83, a resident of Southbury, Connecticut, passed away leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and family devotion.

Born in East Haven, Connecticut, Frances spent her life rooted in the state she called home. She dedicated 37 years of service to SNET, where she was known for her strong work ethic and commitment, before retiring after a long and successful career.

Above all else, Frances was a loving mother and grandmother. She is survived by her two daughters, Georgette Hallas of Torrington and Kimbery Burns of Woodbury and her son in law Richard Burns. She also leaves behind three cherished grandchildren: Melissa Hallas of Southbury, Michael Burns of Woodbury, and Madison Burns of Baltimore, Maryland, who were the joy of her life.

Frances found her greatest happiness in time spent with her family. She especially loved attending her grandchildren’s dance lessons and sporting events, never missing an opportunity to support and cheer them on. The beach was her favorite place to be and she spent many happy vacations with her family at Misquamicut Beach and Cape Cod. Her presence at these moments reflected her deep love, pride, and unwavering devotion to her family.

Frances will be remembered as a caring, devoted woman whose kindness and love shaped the lives of those around her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her daughters, grandchildren, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
