Fran's obituary
Fran dedicated her life to healing and hope. With many years of service in the field of substance abuse counseling, she worked closely with adolescents and adults in rehabilitation and detox, helping so many navigate some of the darkest moments of their lives. Her commitment to this work was not only professional, it was deeply personal, grounded in empathy and an unwavering belief in the power of transformation.
A pillar in the Recovery Dharma community, Fran brought mindfulness, wisdom, and humor to every circle she sat in. Her presence was a steadying force, guiding many through their own recovery journeys with grace, integrity, and fierce compassion.
Beyond her professional and spiritual contributions, Fran was a gifted visual artist. Her artwork, rich with emotion, color, and insight reflected the love and depth she brought to her relationships. In her artwork her incredible stories of healing, resilience, and the beauty found even in pain live on.
Fran was a devoted mother, a loving sister, and a cherished friend. She had a way of making people feel seen, heard, and held. Whether through a listening ear, a heartfelt piece of advice, or a shared moment of silence, she gave of herself fully and generously. Her absence leaves an undeniable void in the lives of those who knew and loved her.
A Celebration of Life will be held in her honor on Friday, September 26, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at High Bridge Park in Wilmore, Kentucky where friends, family, and community members are welcome to gather in celebration of her life and spirit.
In honor of Fran, in lieu of flowers, may we continue to walk the path of healing, creativity, and compassion she so beautifully embodied through donations to Recovery Dharma and The Faulkner Morgan Archive.
