Frances's obituary
Frances Hennessey Connelly, 80, of Midlothian, VA, rejoined her husband Tom, parents Bill and Dot, and brother Peter on August 19, 2022. Frankie is survived by her four children and their families: John and Caroline Connelly of Little Silver, NJ and their children Matthew, Lauren and Eliza; Brian Connelly of Richmond, his children Emma and Kevin and their mother Jennifer Reilly; Amy and David Enoch of Midlothian and their children Kayla and Logan; and Cait and Christopher Leggett of Moorestown, NJ and their children Bridget and Caragh. She also leaves behind her brother William Hennessey (Joy) of Gloucester, MA; best friend, cousin and travel companion Deborah Holmgren of Quechee, VT; brother-in-law William Connelly of Whitman, MA; sister-in-law Ann (Jerry) Guthro of Medway, MA; as well as a lifetime of extended family and friends.
Frankie was raised in Leicester, MA, and after marrying Tom in 1965, his career took them from Massachusetts to California and Connecticut before they planted their roots in Brandermill. Frankie and Tom were founding members of Church of the Epiphany, and Frankie enjoyed volunteering for the church as well as The Blessed Sacrament Huguenot School. She found joy through helping others, teaching, and led a faith-based life steeped in Irish tradition. Frankie was happiest sipping a coffee on her back porch with her birds and plants. Her best memories and stories always included growing up on Pine Street, the parties she and Tom threw in their heyday, and all the proud moments she had as a mother and Nana. The family loves knowing that Mom and Dad reunited to celebrate their 57th anniversary on August 21st. "A life that is shared is a life well lived, and one that will last forever".
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Church of the Epiphany. Inurnment will immediately follow at Dale Memorial Park; Irish wake to follow. The family would like to thank Bayada Home Health and Hospice services for their amazing support and care. In lieu of flowers and to honor Mom's lifelong love of teaching, please support your local schools with donations of supplies or the gift of your time.
