Frances Li Chen, a beloved friend, left us on January 27, 2023, at the age of 27. She was a jack of all trades – a math-wiz, a brilliant software engineer, a strong climber, and most importantly, a kind-hearted friend.

Frances truly touched so many lives with her radiant smile and happy-go-lucky nature. She was loved for her free-spirit, her contagious laugh, and her determined mind. She will be tremendously missed by all, especially members of her family, including her father Adam Chen, mother Juan Li, and older brother Alex Li Chen, as well as her dear friends.

The family will receive friends and loved ones to commemorate Frances’s life on Sunday, February 5th 11 AM at the Harmony Funeral Home in Brooklyn. Afterwards we will gather for a repast at Pacific Palace at 1:30 PM.

For those on the west coast, there will be a memorial service on Wednesday, February 8th 6 PM at 1387 Medallion Drive, San Jose, California.

Frances was sentimental and there is a quote by Rupi Kaur that she held close to her heart: “The world gives you so much pain and here you are making gold out of it – there is nothing purer than that.”

Rest in peace, dearest Frances. You will be forever in our hearts.
