Background
My Grandmother had a life insurance policy, my uncle and his girlfriend helped her fill out the forms they named themselves as beneficiaries on her policy. When she needed someone to care for they wanted to put her in nursing home. I sat and watched her cry for over an hour, wanting to go home not to be put in nursing home. It took me a week to finally get my uncle to realize that I was going to get guardianship of her. He told the hospital he washed his hands of her and he was giving me the power to care for her. Since November 10, 2016 I have lived with her and cared for her 24 hours a day 7 days a week. She convinced me to let her add my name to the deeds of her home so when she passes I will have a place to live . My son was 2 yrs. old at that time, since then until a week ago he has been her little boy. My uncle refuses to sign her policy over to the funeral home. Because he didnt get the house he wont pay for her funeral. She didnt believe in cremation she was against it. I took care of her until the day she passed away in our home where she wanted to be. I am trying so hard no to let her down yet. I couldnt work but I recieve the structural family stipend from medicaid. I paid the light bill and took the rest paid on her funeral. So far $2600 have been paid to the funeral home. $500 for the vault. Please help me if possible to pay for her burial so I dont have to let my unlce win by cremating her.
