Frances's obituary
Frances Pegram Caldwell peacefully passed away on January 11, 2024. Born on July 25, 1936, Frances cherished her 87 years of life on this earth spreading love, joy, and sass to everyone she met. Frances was a remarkable woman, and those who truly knew her often wondered if she was actually an angel in disguise. Hebrews 13:2
A loyal servant to God, Frances devoted much of her time to faithfully and kindly serving others -- whether it was her fellow coworkers at Sears, her work family at Friends Home West, or her beloved daughter, grandsons, and great-grandsons, whom she doted on with enduring patience and gentleness. Matthew 25:21
She never met a person that she did not shower with love. She didn't even have a negative word to say about the young rascal who stole her lawnmower! The only thing she had to say was "Well, he must have needed it more than I did!" Her goodness and forbearance towards this world truly made the sun shine a little brighter. Matthew 6:14
Now that Frances has passed into the arms of our Lord, it signifies the end of Frances’s physical life on Earth, but it’s the beginning of an eternal and beautiful journey for her -- one that she could not wait to begin. 1 Corinthians 2:9
Frances is now reunited with her parents Nicholas and Grace Pegram, her brother Roy Pegram, her husband Lynwood Caldwell, and her daughter Violet "Kay" Tingen. She is survived by her grandsons John David Mowrer, Jr. (wife, Chelsea) and Aaron Mowrer, and her great-grandsons Noah Mowrer, Liam Mowrer, Camron Rierson, and William "Billy" Mowrer.
Frances was a loving and wonderful woman until the very end, and she will be dearly missed by all of her family members and friends. Heaven is surely sweeter to have gained such a precious angel. Her memorial service will be held at Liberty Wesleyan Church, 15303 US-158, Summerfield, NC on February 10th at 2pm.
