Foster's obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Foster McCaskill III, a remarkable man affectionately known as "Third" to some, who left us on November 30, 2025. Born on April 3, 1967, Foster was a beacon of strength and kindness, leaving a significant imprint on the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Foster is survived by his loving wife, LaTanya McCaskill, with whom he shared a beautiful 37 years of marriage; a relationship that stands as a testament to his unwavering loyalty and love. His sons, Grant McCaskill and Foster McCaskill IV, were his pride and joy - the birth of his sons being among his greatest accomplishments. He is also survived by his father, Foster McCaskill Jr., and his mother, Marian McCaskill. Foster had a loving circle of siblings; sisters Melita Issa, Moya Harper, Marla Sorhaindo, and Monique Wartenberg, all of whom will continue to cherish his memory. He was predeceased by his brother, Steven McCaskill.

Foster was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses where he participated and based his spiritual beliefs. His family and friends will miss him more than words can ever express. He carried such a pleasant spirit with a touch of mischief that always left you smiling-and most of all, left you loving him. Caring, helpful, and endlessly generous, he truly had a giving heart. He was our jolly giant, full of warmth and kindness. When he cooked for you, you could feel his love, because food was his love language.

Foster held a beautiful hope of resurrection to a paradise earth, a place promised in the Scriptures where life will be perfect and free of physical, mental and emotional pain- where death will be no more and true justice and peace will fill every corner, as Revelation 21:3-7 assures us. He believed with complete confidence that only Jehovah God can bring this promise to reality. Psalms 37:10-11 also strengthened his faith. “Just a little while longer, and the wicked will be no more…But the meek will possess the earth, and they will find exquisite delight in the abundance of peace.” We love you so very much, Foster. Be at peace.
