I’m frequently reminded of all the important lessons of life and unconditional kindness when I think of Shannon. I miss his infectious laughter, life-long wisdom, selflessness, and love for food. He is deeply missed every single day and his longevity lives within all of us. Each year feels just as difficult since he left this Earth, but knowing that his reach is always influencing my words and love for people brings me peace and nostalgic reminders of how grateful I am to have been in his orbit. I love and miss you so much Shannon. You truly were everyone’s best-friend, brother, and confidant. Rest In Peace my friend.
Thinking of you today. You left a huge impression on your family and friends. Hope you are soaring ever so high with those beautiful wings! Miss you cousin!

Mr. Barnes was one of the most inspirational people I knew. He had an amazing heart for people and for the Lord. He taught me so much not only in school but also about life and how to live for the Lord. I always made sure to remind him of 50¢ Corn dog day at Sonic and I’m pretty sure he would always eat at least 6. Barnes encouraged and pushed me to grow and I always looked up to him as an example. He cared so much for the people around him and always had time to laugh and bring joy into situations. I’m so thankful I got to know him!

I'm so sorry for the loss of Shannon.   1 Corinthians 2:9  Reminds us of this:

That is what the Scriptures mean when they say,

“No eye has seen, no ear has heard,

and no mind has imagined

what God has prepared

for those who love him.”

Praying for all of Shannon Barnes’ family, friends, co-workers, and students. He touched so many lives! Mr. Barnes was my son’s teacher in Drafting at ICTC. He was an amazing, encouraging, positive role model for him! He learned so much from him! I am forever grateful for the impact he made in my son’s life!❤️❤️❤️
