Floyd G. Wright III, aged 79, passed on June 3, 2024. Born on September 22, 1944, Floyd was a man of immense integrity and kindness. His enduring spirit and compassionate nature left imprints on all those who had the good fortune of knowing him.

Floyd was preceded in death by his parents Floyd and Mildred Wright. He is survived by  his wife of 55 years, Marilyn Belote Wright; son, William T. Wright (Pamela Proffitt-Wright) grandaughters: Leah K. Wright, Caysea S. Wright and Anna J. Wright. His brother in-law; Michael Tenenbaum (Desiree), sister in-law, Marcy Shepherd and nephews: Drew Shepherd, Wesley Shepherd and Kai Tenenbaum. 

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, June 22, 2024, at Hobson's Chapel, 6483 Old Buckingham Rd, in Powhatan at 11am, with fellowship following.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Association or the Powhatan Rescue Squad will be appreciated.

 Floyd's remarkable legacy will live on through the lives he touched and the love he shared. He will be deeply missed, yet fondly remembered.
