Flora's obituary
Flora “Neneng” Floresta was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
At the age of 68 and after many battles over 14 years with multiple strokes,congestive heart failure, pulmonary edema and other health issues, Flora passed away peacefullythe morning of Wednesday, December 11, 2024, with the love of her family surrounding her.
She was blessed to defy the odds, medical advice and expectations and most human limitations with resilience and lived her life to the fullest, despite her many challenges.
Flora was known for her warmth big smile, generous heart, and the undeniably loving spirit she brought into the world. She was courageous, inspirational, kind, funny and full of joy.
Flora never wavered in her compassion for others amidst the challenges life brought her way. She continued to support her family and extend a helping hand to anyone in need.
Flora was born in Imus, Cavite, Philippines on December 13, 1955 and later worked and immigrated to Montréal, Québec, Canada in October of 1990.
Flora will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 30 years, Honorado Torres; children, Monaliza (Jamie), Jennifer (David), Mark Emil (Hezel), Joshua (Jezireen); grandchildren, Dylan, Julianna, Liana, Naomi, Josiane, Savannah, Markuz, Tyrone, Liam; sister, Rosalinda; and sister-in-laws, Julietta, Juanaria. Flora also leaves behind a brokenhearted, supportive group of relatives, including aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and countless friends.
Flora was predeceased by her parents, Mario and Angelina; siblings, Rodolfo, Ricardo (Emilia), Ermelita (Lamberto), Salvador Sr, Cesar, Victor, Susan (Bernabe); and infant son, Juanito.
A Celebration of Flora’s Life will be held on Saturday, January, 11, 2025, at 5:00 p.m., at the Filipino Baptist Church of Montréal, 6999 Chem. de la Côte-des-Neiges, Montréal, Québec.
