Phil's obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Filippo "Phil" D'Aquanno, who entered eternal rest on May 4, 2023. Phil was born on November 2, 1942 Trapani Sicily and come to the United States at 17. He was a commercial fisherman on the Monterey Peninsula and fished Salmon in Alaska. Throughout his life, he touched the hearts of many with his warmth, gentle demeanor, and love for his family.
Phil is survived by his loving wife, Joanne D'Aquanno, with whom he shared over 55 cherished years. He will be greatly missed by his daughters, Josephine Balestreri, Marieann D'Aquanno, and Francesca Theroux, each of whom he took great pride in guiding through life. In addition, Phil leaves behind his brother, Benny D'Aquanno, who will always remember their shared memories.
Phil's legacy of love lives on in his grandchildren, Mario, Anthony & Sarah, Cristina and Andrew Balestreri, and Christian & Gabriella Theroux who brought him immense pride and joy into his life. His sons in law, Mario Balestreri, held a special place in Phil's heart, demonstrating the true meaning of family.
Phil was predeceased by his father, Giuseppe D'Aquanno; his mother, Giuseppa D'Aquanno; his brothers Salvatore and Anthony D'Aquanno; and his sister Mariella Ferrara. Their reunion in the heaven with our Heavenly Father brings comfort to all who knew and loved Phil during his time on earth.
