Fern passed peacefully January 5, 2022 in her home in Arvada, Colorado in the arms of her older daughter of Lakewood, Colorado. Her son and his wife live In Wisconsin. She raised 3 children on her own, who honor her legacy. She enjoyed 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She grew up on a farm in Iowa with 4 brothers and sisters and parents who all passed before her. Enduring the Depression, World War II, a divorce, the death of a second husband, the death of her first grandson (whose sister grew close to her through their shared faith the last year), and the death of her second daughter, whose husband and his children have continued to shower her with care along with her older daughter, as well as her son’s families’ support and immense love, she went on to enjoy a full life to nearly 100. Everyone who was blessed to know her cherished her.
