Felix Mendaros Sr., a devoted father, brilliant mind, and talented musician, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2025, at the age of 89. Born on February 4, 1936, in Honolulu, Hawaii, Felix spent his life embodying intelligence, dedication, and unwavering love for his family. He later made Vista, California, his home.
A skilled machinist, Felix was known not only for his technical expertise but also for his sharp intellect. Academically gifted, he excelled in school and college, earning top grades with ease. Beyond his professional and academic accomplishments, Felix was a self-taught musician with an extraordinary ability to master instruments. He played the piano, guitar, saxophone, and trumpet—a testament to his passion for learning and creativity.
Above all, Felix was a good man who always put his family first. While many may not have fully known the depth of his character, his daughters, Deborah and Patricia, were blessed to see the incredible father he was—one who led with love, wisdom, and quiet strength.
Felix’s kindness, intelligence, and devotion to his family will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved him. His legacy lives on through the memories he created, the music he played, and the values he instilled in his children.
