It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mason Foster Sr., who departed this life on March 12, 2024. Born on April 7, 1945, Mason lived a life full of love, laughter, and purpose. His spirit of generosity and kindness remains an enduring reminder of his devotion to family and friends.
Mason is survived by his beloved wife, Dorothy Foster, who was his pillar of support, love and understanding. His legacy lives on through his children; his sons, Earnest Haynes and Mason Foster, and his daughters, Frankie Smith and Felisha Foster-Haynes. Each of them carry a piece of their father’s love, wisdom and guidance as they navigate through their own journeys in life.
He is fondly remembered by his son-in-law, Tony Haynes, who admired him for his strength and patience. His granddaughters, Elicia Haynes and Indoneshia Haynes, will forever cherish the memories of their kind-hearted and caring grandfather. Their bond was one derived from love and comfort, a testament to Mason's nurturing nature.
Mason was predeceased by his son, Elijah Foster, who he now joins in eternal peace. The loss of Elijah was a sorrow Mason carried with him, but he found comfort knowing they would one day reunite.
A viewing for Mason was held on March 23, 2024, at 7:00 PM at 210 E Watson Ave, providing an opportunity for family and friends to pay their respects. This was followed by a funeral service at 9:00 PM at the same location. His memory was celebrated with stories of his life, shared tears, and comforting embraces.
