Felipa Yamauchi 87 passed away peacefully at Ascension Nursing Care, Park Ridge, IL on Sunday, December 11.

Felipa was born on January 2, 1935 in the Philippines to parents Carlos and Clara Espinosa. Felipa graduated from Central Philippine University with a BS in nursing. She immigrated to the US and served the community for over 40 years as a nurse.

When she was just 28, Felipa, met and fell in love with Edward Yamauchi. They married in 1964 and settled in Chicago. In 1976 they moved and made Skokie their home.

Felipa was preceded in death by her husband Edward Yamauchi. She is survived by her daughter Lisa (Stan), her sons Don (Cleta) and Tom, seven grandchildren: Brett, Edward (Heather), Brooke and partner Alex, Elizabeth, Sydney, Lindsey, Dylan and great grandchild Theodore; Sisters; Aida (Winston), Puring (Eli) Brother; Simplico (Febe) and a host of nieces an nephews. 

There will be a celebration of life service at Skokie Valley Baptist Church on Saturday, February 4th from 10-11:00 am followed by a reception at Yu's Mandarin from 12-1:30.
