Faye was a special person in my life in Grand Island. She loved to entertain and cook and was a natural in many ways. We so enjoyed playing tennis doubles. While I didn’t stay in touch, I remembered her often when using some of her great recipes over the years. Please know she left a lasting impression on all she met. My sincere sympathy.
Our most heartfelt sympathy to you and your family Windy. Faye will be missed in a big way by her family, friends and all the people she used to work with. You are right about what you said "She deserves more than just a writing on a web page"... Sometimes life is unkind and time is not our friend. Ms. Faye was a special and rare person, always quick with a smile and a kind word... a heart of compassion willing to help any friend in need. And yes she always loved sweets, she liked the See's Candy we would get her every Christmas. Faye was one of a kind and we will always be thankful for her. As we move forward in life let us remember to count every day a blessing with our loved ones who are still with us. God's grace be with you and your family Windy.
Windy, this is really nice. I loved the part you wrote...all of what you shared was so ‘Faye’. I learned some things I didn’t know, like Faye and Jim meeting in San Jose. I always assumed they met in Iowa. With love, Susan
