It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our son, Fabio Scarpone, son of Lorenzo & Susy Scarpone, who left us too soon on March 13, 2024, just shy of his 30th birthday. Born on April 8, 1994, San Francisco, Fabio was a man of immense passion, a bright light, and adored by all who knew him.

Fabio spent the last 9 months living in Italy with his father, Lorenzo. He spent time on our land in the countryside of Abruzzo, with our cousins, uncles and aunts, and Nonna.  He was a poet, known in the SF community for his talent with words. He loved reading, tagging, karate, and playing the guitar. 

He came back to San Francisco with his father, and he was filled with excitement to meet his niece. He was happy to be back home, and to not only be an uncle but to be a positive male role model in his nieces’ life. He was ready to be back in San Francisco and move forward with various job prospects, such as freelance writing and pursuing to become a firefighter. He dreamed of getting married and being a father one day. 

His heart-warming laugh and beautiful smile will be dearly missed, but his memory will continue to thrive in the hearts of his loved ones. Among those mourning his untimely demise, is his younger sister and brother, Sofia & Nicolo. His loving parents that fought for the well-being of their son. His grandmothers Sachiko, Oralia, and Nonna Lidia. His aunts and uncles from San Diego to Italy, and all of the amazing cousins. He was surrounded and loved by friends all over the United States and beyond.

May the fond memories of Fabio aka Fafa aka 'Fobs' provide comfort to all those grieving and may his soul find the peace it deserves.
