Evelyn M. 'Toots' Jones, 95, formerly of Rochester NY, died Tuesday, March 26, 2024, in  Health & Rehab, Rochester . She was born Dec. 23, 1928, in Penn Township, a daughter of the late Michael Jones and Mary C. (Mahoy) Jones Prior to retirement, she was a registered nurse at Oakhill Nursing Home and previously at Latrobe Area Hospital. She was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, . She was a nurse and was always taking care of everyone. After retirement, she was known for her cookies until her long difficult battle with dementia. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis L. 'Bucky' McCauley; and her 3brother, William M. Jones ,sisters Mary Jones, Bernice Nash   . She is survived by her 5 sisters Lisa Jones , Anna Garnett , Ayanna  smitherson , Nancy Hightower , Hannah Jones , 4 brothers Tim Jones , Micheal Jones , Jim Jones Bucky Jones , son, Michael L. McCauley and wife Christine; her granddaughter, Shelley Watkiss and husband Blake,  2 grandchildren, Parker and Addison, Tim Ronald a sister-in-law, Pat Roscosky, and a 10 nieces and 10 nephews. Bucky jr Jones , Arnold Jones, Willy Jones, Mike Jones , Wallace Jones, Damien Greene , Harold Omend , Frank Fisher, Danny Cruz, Juan Cecile, Joseph Ronaldo, Amber Jones, Kelly Jones, Lisa Frankfurt, Susan Murphy, Michelle Ayola, Amber Patterson, Shelly Middleton, Carrie Green, Sheila Green and Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday April 1st at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 , Rochester NY, at which time a funeral liturgy will be held with The Rev. Daniel L. Blout as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Catholic Cemetery, on Thursday April 4. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Dementia Society of America, PO Box 600, Doylestown, PA 18901 or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
