Evelyn "Bobbie" Boyd, 80, of beautiful Washington D.C., DC, passed away on August 09, 2023, surrounded by her friends and family.

Evelyn, born on July 12, 1943 to the late Fred Williams and Jannie Campbell in DC, immediately brought joy and laughter into the world. Evelyn went on to graduate from Dunbar High School as an honor student. After graduating from high school, Evelyn went on to pursue a degree in Math at Smith College.  Where she met Larry Gibson and the two were inseparable from that point on. Together for many years  and had 6 children together. Evelyn had a miracle baby boy soon after and was a fiercely dedicated mom to all of her children, raising all  7 of them to go on to accomplish great things. Family came first and was above all else to  Evelyn, a value she instilled in all those around her. The hole left by her absence is impossible to fill.

Evelyn was predeceased by her Mother and Father and Late Son Jonathan Boyd. She is survived by Linda Boyd,  Lisa Boyd (Mike), Crystal (Courtney) Faulkner, Bobbie "Ann" Boyd, John Elam, Krissy Carter (Michael).   In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Evelyns' name to The Boys and Girls club of DC.  Services will be announced at a later date.
