Evelyn Booker, 87, of Suffolk, VA, passed away on September 01, 2023. Evelyn was born on August 22 1936 to Genoa Goodman and James Goodman in Suffolk, VA.  after graduating from New Dorp High School, she went on to study Business Management at Staten Island College.

After graduation, she landed her first job as a manager for Cannon for 30 years. When Evelyn had Joann, she decided to dedicate her life to being a fantastic and wonderful mother. Evelyn excelled at propping up her 9 grandchildren and supporting them through the many passions and difficulties of their lives.  she made it her mission to improve the lives of others.

Evelyn was a passionate spul and when she wasn’t filling her home with warmth and kindness, she could be found in Church praising the lord. We will miss her greatly.

Evelyn was predeceased by her mother Genoa Goodman, father James Goodman, and her sister Ellen Ann Quinn. She is survived by her daughter Joann Bush, Son Isaac Boooker, son Calvin Booker, her grandchildren Buddy Bush, Nikki Bush, Tonika Bush, Tara Anderson, Tanya Motley, Ethan Bush, Nayimah DeJesus, Edward Booker, and Malikai Anderson.The family requests that all flowers and notes are sent to 1884 Hosier rd Suffolk, VA 23434.
