Van's obituary
Evangeline “Van” Pax Farah Willoughby Nicholson of Culpeper, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 3, 2025, at the age of 93. She leaves behind a rich legacy of ministry, a life marked by faith, and countless prayers lifted on behalf of others.
Van ministered in many ways throughout her life. She touched lives through her Christian bookstore, Words of Wisdom, in Annandale, Virginia; through the missionary organization Praise Ministries, which she and her late husband, Gene, faithfully led for many years; through her dedicated service in her local church; and by opening her home and heart to anyone in need.
She was preceded in death by many beloved family members, and she eagerly anticipated the joyful reunion with them in heaven. She is survived by her children Brenda (John) Jenkins of Culpeper, VA; Duane (Pam) Willoughby of Amissville, VA; Kent (Mary) Willoughby of Amissville, VA; Michelle (Steve) Watkins of Huntingdon, PA; and Loetta (Rico) Morales of Fort Myers, FL. She is also lovingly remembered by her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at New Harvest Christian Fellowship, 16144 Waterloo Road, Amissville, VA.
