How you can help
On Tuesday, January 15th, after a more than three year battle with brain cancer, Evan O'Dell passed away. Evan was a devoted father, a loving husband, friend, and a dedicated member of the Henrico Police Department. He leaves behind a legacy of service, love, and commitment to family and community.
During this time of grief and adjustment, we all want Georgia, Will, and Rebekah to feel the support of everyone who cares deeply for them. One way we can lighten their burden is by taking a task off of Rebekah's (never-ending) mom "to-do" list: making school lunches for herself and the kids.
By contributing to this fundraiser, you can help cover the cost of hot lunches for the O'Dell family for the rest of the 2024-2025 school year. It’s a simple yet impactful way to provide practical support for the O'Dell's not just in the immediate aftermath of this tragedy, but in the coming months as well.
Together, we can show Georgia, Will, and Rebekah they are not alone and that they have our unwavering care and support.
A couple of brief notes about donations:
- Once you donate you will receive the following message: "Your card has not yet been charged. It will be charged for the total above when Sam Futrell sets a payment destination." Don't worry! Once we believe everyone has contributed who might wish to, we will transfer the funds directly to Rebekah's account.
- After getting a better idea of how much hot lunch costs per person, we have adjusted the total goal from $3,000 to $5,000. If we exceed this number, Rebekah and the kids will still get the total amount-- whatever it might be. :) Contribute
