Dear Shawn,
I am so sorry for your loss.
I never had the pleasure of getting to know Evan, but I do know how proud of him you were and how much he was loved by your entire family. I hope time brings you peace and you keep fond memories of him in your heart.

Watching children with their friends we learn so much about them. Evan was such a kind and loyal friend. A true testament to the love that he was surrounded by. I especially loved hearing the stories about the things he would do with his grandfather. He was an amazing person. He brought happiness to our world and we will remember him with the same smile he always greeted us with.

Shawn.....I cannot think of words to soothe your broken heart. I remember Evan from all Nicks birthday parties and friend gatherings. Evan was blessed to have the amazing family that he had. He did not want for love for a single moment of his life, I am sure. I know that he will be missed deeply by those who knew him well, and those who didn't have the pleasure (like me). My very deepest condolences to you Shawn, Linda, Rich, Robert, Dan and all the families.

Your loss absolutely breaks my heart. I didn’t physically lose my daughter Tessa, but she is now a completely different person and unfortunately can’t live with me. I am praying for you and your family. Please PM me if you need any resources. I literally know every nonprofit in the area. I’m still a volunteer parent mentor for LPCH Stanford and Parents Helping Parents. I also have some ideas on how you can possibly save many other lives when and if you are ready.

Shawn, you were so wonderful coming by after my hubby’s death. I want no more than to give you the biggest of hugs knowing the pain you were going through with all this. I am so, so sorry my friend. All I can say is the one thing I hold onto is envisioning him I miss the light and love of God right now. And that, of course, it really won’t be that long before you join him. Love you my friend.
