With heavy hearts we are sharing the news that Eva Nydia Ortiz, 75, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2026, in Georgetown, South Carolina. Born on October 16, 1950, in Ciales, Puerto Rico to her parents Pablo Ortiz and Juanamaria Santiago. Evie carried the heart and spirit of her island with her wherever she went.
Evie was the last surviving of three sisters and is now reunited with her beloved parents and siblings. She leaves …
