Background

Our mother, Eva, battled Type II diabetes for most of her adult life. In her final months, she endured significant pain from ulcers caused by complications of the disease. Just months before her passing, her youngest granddaughter, Charlotte, became very ill and was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. Eva’s children and grandchildren meant the world to her, and in her last days, she worried deeply about her “baby” Charlotte.

In honor of our mother and grandmother, we invite you to make a donation to the Diabetes Action Research and Education Foundation. This 501(c)(3) non-profit, established in 1990, depends on the generosity of supporters like you to fund essential research for Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes. With consistently low overhead, your tax-deductible gift will be used effectively to support this important mission.

Thank you for considering a contribution in Eva’s memory.
