Mickey's obituary

On November 10, 1964, a beautiful baby girl was born to Harriett D. Birdow and Elmo Birdow in Houston, Texas whom they named Eunice Michelle Birdow. She would become known to all as “Mickey.”

Mickey grew up and attended school in Angleton, Texas. She accepted the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at an early age. On March 15, 1986, she married Roderick Keith Toston Sr. and they had 4 children Kevin Ray Birdow, LaTocia LeTay Birdow, Roderick Keith Toston Jr., and Jeremy Toston. Mickey attended Alvin Community College where she received an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice. She enjoyed attending all sporting events with her children and grandchildren. Mickey was dedicated to the youth of the community. She volunteered for many years working with children and developing their talents to ensure that they were able to achieve incredible things in life.

Mickey was preceded in death by her mother, Harriett Allen; father, Elmo Birdow; Grandparents Mitchell and Eunice Barlow; Grandmother Lula Mae Allen; nephews Jeffery Bonds and Lawrence Holden; and cousins Jason Hampton and Treylon Whitaker.

Mickey is survived by her husband of over 36 years Roderick Keith Toston Sr., children Kevin Birdow, LaTocia (Glenn Jr.) Evans, Roderick (Amber) Toston Jr., and Jeremy (Dorothy) Toston. Mickey also leaves behind sisters Sidney Joseph-Bonds (Fred), Danita Birdow (Tyrell Darthard), Tiffany Birdow-Taylor (Charles), Dawn Birdow, brother Nathan Birdow, 23 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
