Eulah's obituary

Eulah Catherine “Granny” McKnight passed away peacefully on the morning of Saturday, December 13, 2025 in Vallejo, CA. Eulah was born to Catherine and Connie Clifton in New Augusta, MS on December 4, 1927. She was the youngest of 9 children (Leon, Lewis, Thelma, Rosa Lee, Loie, Aileen, Annette, & Ben), all who preceded her in death.

Eulah was a beloved grandmother, mother, and wife during her incredible 98 years of life. She married Harry “Mac” McKnight Jr. in 1945 and spent 64 wonderful years together until Harry preceded her in death in 2010. Together they had 4 children; Linda, Larry, Wanda, & Wayne. Those 4 gave her a large family full of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and even a few great-great grandchildren. Eulah and Harry moved to California in the summer of 1968 and remained rooted here.

Eulah was a 52 year member of the El Dorado Foothills (No. 62) chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed humming hymns around the house and watching her two favorite soap operas; General Hospital and “ wrastlin’ ”. Eulah loved spending time with friends and family, and her home was always full of laughter, love, and of course, cups of coffee over conversation. Eulah maintained her joyful and funny disposition up until the end. She will be missed, her generosity and empathy will be treasured and her never-ending love will continue to be felt by all who knew her.

“In the garden of memory, in the palace of dreams, that is where you and I shall meet.”

Lewis Carroll
