Personal note from Cee Cee Daniels - A Loving Fan!

One of the greatest voices of all times: "Mr. Eugene "Gene" Mumford". Though I did not know him personally, I feel as though I know him through his music. He had such a wonderful impeccable multi-octave tenor voice and for me to just think that this man with such a wonderful voice lived within my lifetime is astounding! I personally consider him to be "The Man with The Platinum Voice". May he be singing with the "Dominoes", "Larks", "The Golden Gate Quartet" or "The Serenaders", he was a man with such an enormous great talent. When I hear his voice, it's like hearing an old dear friend. Unfortunately, Mr. Mumford passed many years ago and being a huge fan to the Harmony World of Doo Wop Music, I discovered Mr. Mumford's platinum voice singing lead on Billy Ward & His Dominoes' big hit "Stardust". If by chance you are unfamiliar with the song, my suggestion is that you tune into YouTube and listen to Mr. Mumford at his best. Also, another wonderful favorite of mine is the Larks' "My Reverie" to which Mr. Mumford has a romantically haunting wail, but, is singing his heart out, giving the song much gusto at his very best! Another great tune "I Live True to You" and I could go on!

To "Mr. Eugene", you are True Musical Gem! A True Giant in the World of Music. You deserved so much more! Musically, the world should have been your oyster! You will live forever in my heart! I Love You So! Sleep In Peace, My Friend! "Until We Meet My Darling" Sleep in Peace!!!

Your Loving Fan,
Cybille
