Eugene “Gene” Raymond Gorny Jr., age 61, passed away on January 22, 2026 in Irvine, California. Born on February 27, 1964, in Detroit, Michigan, Gene lived a life defined by hard work, dedication, and a deep love for his family.

Following in his father’s footsteps, Gene devoted more than 37 years to the automotive industry. He took immense pride in his work and was known for his skill, reliability, and the genuine kindness he extended to everyone he worked with. To colleagues, he was more than a coworker—he was a trusted friend.

Above all else, Gene was a family man. He was a loving son to Theresa and Eugene Sr., a devoted father to Kyle, Adam, and Alyssa, a devoted spouse to Bonnie, a caring brother to Lynn, Judy, and Joanne, and a proud uncle to eight nieces and nephews. His presence was steady, his guidance unwavering, and his love constant.

Gene’s legacy is one of integrity, resilience, and quiet strength. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

The first memorial service will be held on January 29, 2026 from 4-6pm at Karma Automotive (9950 Jeronimo Rd, Irvine, CA 92618) followed by another memorial service on February 1, 2026 from 2-4pm at O’Connor Mortuary in Laguna Hills (25301 Alicia Pkwy, Laguna Hills, CA 92653).
