ETHAN RHODIG MEMORIAL FUND
SEPTEMBER 2020 UPDATE
Thank you all for your generous donations. The following philanthropic activities are underway to honor Ethan's legacy.
1. East Lyme Rowing Association - fund purchase of two Pair boats and one 4 boat
2. East Lyme Fencing - funding purchase of fencing equipment
3. East Lyme High School Scholarship Association- establish Ethan Rhodig Memorial Scholarship for student/athlete competing in Crew and/or Fencing
4. Sponsor 2021 Omaha Triathlon in Ethan's honor
5. Creighton University donation in Ethan's honor
6. Plant trees in Ethan's honor
Additional philanthropic activities are envisioned. Further updates will be provided. Thank you again for your support!

Ethan's family intends to use the funds raised on this page to support organizations which embody his life goals. Living a healthy lifestyle and strengthening/supporting/challenging others. A specific organization has not been identified at this time however the family has considered these initial ideas...
- Provide entry fee and equipment assistance to triathletes in need
- Host an annual fitness challenge/event in his name in the Omaha area
- Purchase and name a crew boat in his honor to be utilized by the East Lyme High School crew team
- Purchase activity tracking devices to enhance safety for athletes in need
- Raise awareness about location tracking services
*Because of the urgency to make arrangements and respond to those wanting to help the above thoughts are not an exhaustive list but you can see our initial ideas. We will update Ethan's memorial page as more decisions are finalized.
