Ethan's obituary
Well, you’re probably all wondering how I got here.
To be honest, so am I. One minute I was there, and the next, I was here.
I can’t really tell you where here is, though — but what I can tell you is that I’m having a great time. 10/10 recommend.
I’ve been hanging out with Grandma and Grandpa Fors. They’ve made friends too, and let me tell you — all these Grandmas just love them some fun-sized Ethan. They keep me fed and laughing.
And the food here? To die for. (Too soon?) You can eat all you want.
I’m getting off track—
I know we didn’t get a chance to say goodbye before I had to leave.
I especially wanted to let my son, Kolton Henry, know that I love him so much, and I’m missing him every second. But I’m watching him all the time.
K, being your dad was my favorite thing I ever did in life.
I really had the best life with the best people, and I want to thank my MUDDA for birthing me. I know you’re super sad, but Jace is gonna love you harder for the both of us while I’m gone.
And Me Pa — I guess you had a part in me being there also, so thanks for not pulling out. I didn’t get a chance to road-trip on some of your adventures with you, so I think I’m gonna kick it with you for a while.
And Smash — not sure if I ever told you, but you turned out pretty good.
You’re gonna have to try and fill my shoes now, though. Deja’s gonna need you now more than ever. I can’t wait to watch the roast wars and jokes you two will have. Also… YOUR MOM! Haha.
All three of us never got to take that road trip we planned. But don’t worry, I’m scoping out new places here for us to go.
Make sure to tell my nieces and nephews how much I love them. I was so proud to be their uncle, and I’m planning lots of “Fun with Uncle E” days for when they get here.
I have too many cousins to name, but I just want to tell you — it was a blast, and I love most of you… tolerated some of you.
Becky, Sky & Tabitha — our long-standing friendship isn’t over, and we’re not done making memories. It’s just on pause. I lobe you.
And to my other half — I’m sorry we didn’t get a chance to finish all of our plans together. I swear it wasn’t cold feet.
I loved raising the kids with you. I’m still your soulmate, and it’s waiting for you when you get here.
Well, I’ve gotta run. I’ve got lots of mischief to cause and things to make awkward.
Time and distance work differently here, so no need to rush to see me.
But I’ll be waiting for you when you get here.
There will be an open Memorial Service with a Potluck Dinner for family and friends to gather.
