Esther's obituary
Esther Hernandez
August 29, 1959 – April 28, 2025
With heartbreak and deep love, we announce the passing of Esther Hernandez, a mother who gave everything she had and more for her children. Esther left us on April 28, 2025, after a long and painful fight with cancer. She passed away too soon, and not nearly as peacefully as she deserved. But she was not alone. Her children were by her side, just as she had always been by theirs.Esther lived a life filled with hardship betrayal, loss, financial struggle, and trauma that most would never understand. But despite it all, she stood firm. She was not perfect, but she was real. She was raw. She was brave. She was a survivor. She didn’t have an easy path, but she fought every day to protect and hold together what mattered most to her: her family.
She raised her children through impossible circumstances often with little help, no thanks, and almost nothing left for herself. But she kept going. She held the weight of generations on her shoulders. And even when she was tired, sick, or in pain, she still put them first.Esther could be tough. She was loud when she needed to be. She called things as they were. She had a temper but she also had a deep well of love and sacrifice. If you were hers, she’d go to war for you. That was her kind of love fierce, loyal, and unrelenting.
She passed with so many things left unfinished no grand house, no riches, no ease at the end. But what she left behind was far more powerful: the lessons she taught her children about surviving, about standing up, about loving hard even when it hurts.
Esther is survived by her children, grandchildren, and the family who knew the truth of who she was a mother who never gave up on them, no matter how many times the world gave up on her.
She will be missed every day, remembered in every fight we keep fighting, and honored every time we choose love and survival over silence and surrender.
