Esther's obituary

Esther Anais Marie Gubbay, a radiant and fiercely driven soul, passed away on July 26, 2025, in Salt Lake City, UT, at the age of 34. Born on August 11, 1990, Esther lived a life full of creativity, determination, and boundless joy. From her vibrant childhood in Spain, to her adventurous years in London, and finally putting down roots in Utah, she embraced every moment with an infectious zest for life that inspired all who knew her. Her life experiences far surpassed her young years, fueling a zeal for even more adventures through extensive travels even after settling in Utah.

Esther’s artistic brilliance and relentless drive defined her remarkable journey. After graduating from Westminster (London), she pursued her passion for architecture, earning a master’s degree while raising her beloved children—a testament to her ability to conquer any challenge. Her professional career was marked by innovative and complex architectural projects that showcased her creative vision and unwavering determination. Whether sketching, painting, or designing spaces that inspired awe, Esther’s boundless imagination left an indelible mark on the world.

Above all, Esther’s heart belonged to the children she raised with her former husband Arty — Ezra, Stella, Levi, and Noah — whom she loved fiercely and unconditionally. They were her greatest pride and joy, and her devotion to them shaped every facet of her life. She is also survived by her loving parents, Veronique and Philippe, and brothers, David, Glen, Thomas, Jonathan and Dylan, who will forever cherish her memory.

Esther’s warmth, humor, and indomitable spirit will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her life was a beautiful celebration of creativity and resilience, and her legacy endures in the love and inspiration she shared. A service to honor Esther’s extraordinary life will be held on Saturday at 9 am at 1870 Parleys Canyon Blvd, Salt Lake City, UT.
