Estelle's obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Estelle Fish, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, on January 8, 2024. Born on August 1, 1928 in the Bronx, Estelle lived a life filled with love, adventure, and determination.
On July 4, 1952, Estelle met the love of her life, Sydney Fish in the Catskill Mountains, NY. The two shared a bond so profound that they tied the knot on a beautiful day in June 1953. Their union was blessed with a lovely daughter, Stephanie Freeman, born on August 23, 1955. The joys of the family further expanded with the addition of two grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
They moved to Tarzana, CA in 1966 where her and Syd cultivated a vibrant community of friends and neighbors. She later moved to Las Vegas, NV in 2019 with her daughter, Stephanie, where she continued to thrive amidst her family and friends.
Estelle had a knack for bringing joy and vigor to any gathering. She was known for her love for poker and pan, accompanied by her favorite cup of decaf coffee. She was also quite fond of gambling, a hobby that brought her much pleasure and excitement. Her adventurous spirit was apparent in her favorite vacation spots, with Cabo San Lucas topping the list.
She leaves behind her her daughter, Stephanie Freeman, her sister, Ricki Fisher, her granddaughter, Danielle Wachs, and her grandson, Evan Freeman, and they will remember her for her heartwarming smile, loving nature, and vivacious spirit.
A memorial service for Estelle will be held on Sunday, January 21, 2024, at 12:00 PM at Temple Etz Chaim. We invite all those who knew and loved Estelle to join us in celebrating her life. Her presence will be dearly missed, but her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of her loved ones.
