Description of Esteban

Born and raised right outside of Atlanta, Esteban Cortes grew up around everything that shaped him into the admirable, driven, and impressive young man he came to be. Esteban was a devoted friend and loving son who spread positivity with every person he came into contact with. He was intelligent and radiant, yet humble and disciplined- attributes that made Esteban an amazing classmate, teammate, friend, son, and human. This young man had an incredible influence on every person he met, and left an impact wherever he went. The reach that he had amongst people from various parts of the world is a reach to be respected and admired. Esteban was a person to lean on, a person to confide in, and a respectful young man always. Pure and genuine are how we can all describe Esteban Cortes.

Soccer-to-God journey

As a talented, promising, and determined youth soccer player, Esteban had so many dreams of becoming a professional in this area of his life that he excelled in and that brought him an abundance of joy. As any person encounters in life, Esteban was faced with many challenges and obstacles that affected his health, putting his soccer dreams on hold for the foreseeable future. However, this tragic injury put him on a God-seeking path and a love-filled journey. 

Church involvement

Esteban had been a proud member of Uplift Church for roughly 1 year, bettering and elevating his relationship with God, and leading others down a God-loving, righteous life. Uplift Church became a place for Esteban to become the ideal version of himself and have an outlet for praising and rejoicing in the name of the Lord.

Shema brand and business

Esteban, a big dreamer, a determined pupil, and a perseverer, began his journey towards creating a start-up business known as “Shema” in which he aimed to glorify God and change the perception of Christian fashion. He combined two of his loves into one and studied endlessly the ways of an entrepreneur- and he succeeded at becoming just that. He was a welcoming, self-taught, independent, and eager young man who had dreams and sought out to reach them, because that was the type of person Esteban was- a go-getter. Nothing was impossible to Esteban, and he is proof of that. His impact will forever remain amongst us all, and his imprint is something we will continue to see everyday, all around.
