Esperanza Bentley's obituary
Esperanza Bentley Ganado, age 77, of Gardendale, Texas, passed away on January 7, 2024. She was born on June 19, 1946, in Fort Davis, Texas, to the late George Bentley Jr. and Elena Dutchover Bentley. Esperanza was a loving, kind, strong, creative, and devoted individual.
Esperanza had a fulfilling career as an educator in the ECISD, where she dedicated 27 years of her life. She made a significant impact on the lives of many students throughout her career.
In her free time, Esperanza enjoyed various hobbies, including solving word finds and Sudoku puzzles. She also had a passion for watching soap operas, such as "Young & the Restless" and "Bold & the Beautiful." Additionally, she found joy in playing slot machines and listening to Tejano/Oldies music on the radio. Esperanza was also known for her DIY projects and cherished spending time with her family.
Esperanza will be deeply missed by her husband, Fidel G Granado, and her children: Janice Lynn Granado Rojas (Mark), Fidel Jr Granado, and Lyn Marie Granado Carter. She was a loving grandmother to Ariadne Granado and Anthony Fidel Granado. Esperanza is also survived by her siblings: Gloria Bentley Acosta (the late Butch Acosta) & family, Mary Bentley Fierro (Abel) & family, George Bentley III (Anna) & family, Elida Bentley Rodriguez & family, Johnny Bentley (Linda) & family, Terry Bentley, and Susan Bentley.
A viewing will be held at La Paz Funeral, located at 1506 North Grandview, Odessa, Texas, on January 12, 2024, starting at 2:00 pm. A rosary will follow at 7:00 pm, and a memorial service will be held at 8:00 pm at La Paz Funeral. The funeral home will be assisting with the arrangements.
Esperanza Bentley Granado will be remembered for her loving nature, dedication to education, and her cherished moments with family. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
