I was so very sorry to hear about the loss of Eryn.

I have known her since she was an undergrad when she took my class in the summer, then again when she enrolled in the MEd and PhD programs in the College of Ed at UIC. She was such a warm person with a great sense of humour (and a fabulous dissertation). She used to make me laugh every time I saw her.

In fact, I was just thinking of her as I'm preparing to set up a compost in my backyard--she had created one for her kids when she taught in Chicago and told me how to do it: All you need is a kit and some good earthworms.

A light has gone out in the world with the loss of Eryn. My heart goes out to Rick, Nancy, Chad, and her beloved niece and nephews.
