Ernie's obituary
He was born in Greenwich, CT. His siblings were Bill, Shirley, Sally, and Jimmy. He was married to Grace Mangione and then to Shenay Krajcik.
He attended Greenwich High School and was a Heavy equipment operator for most of his life. While living in NY state, he primarily worked for Rossi Brothers and Bradhurst Site Construction. He owned businesses in New York, Texas, and Florida.
He served in the National Guard and resided in Greenwich CT, Bedford Hills, NY, San Antonio, TX, Seminole and Clearwater, FL. His favorite activity was attending car shows with his friends and his ’48 Chevy. Over the years he was awarded hundreds of trophies for his car which he donated to the Boy Scouts of America.
He had the nickname “Early Ernie” as he always arrived at events before anyone. An interesting feat of strength: he could lift the rear-end of a Jeep Wrangler (by the spare tire) off the ground and could break steel bottle openers in half with his hands. He was as gentle as he was strong.
Survived by His children, Ernie and Michelle Norling, Debbie and Frank Lieto, Lori and Jon Lieto, his stepchildren Chris Carson, John, Michael, Edward, and Robert Krajcik, an enormous number of Grandchildren and Great-grandchildren, his very dear friend Wendy, all his buddies from Biff Burger, Quaker Steak, other various car shows, and his adopted dog Zeke.
He was Loyal, Determined, and Hard-Working.
He deeply loved his family, friends, and his ’48 Chevy (in no particular order)
