Ernesto's obituary
Ernesto Querol, 70, of Manila, Metro Manila, Philippines, passed away at home and peacefully on July 30, 2009.
Ernesto was born on October 6, 1938 to Corsino Querol and Esperanza Ranario Querol in Jagna, Bohol in Philippines. After graduating in Bachelor in Liberal Arts from Far Eastern University in 1959, he joined the Manila Police District as one of its finest police investigator until 1982. Later he also served in other government agencies such as the Veterinary Inspection Board, Manila North Harbor, The Manila City Hall, and in University of Manila until his retirement in 1996.
While attending university, he met Erlinda Galang Cruz in 1963. They first wed at the Quezon City Hall on December 5, 1965, followed by a church wedding in October 4, 1967 and going on to have seven children. Ernesto was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. He was unendingly proud of his children and always tried his best to support them. Ernesto was passionate in sports especially basketball and boxing. He was a skilled handyman at home. Anyone who knew Ernesto knew that he was a man of wit and intellect, a bibliophile, a crossword puzzle and a chess game enthusiast.
Ernesto was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Sylvia. He is survived by Erlinda, his wife of 44 years and their seven children [Eleanor Monique, Eunice Mareth - Farley Areola, Ethel Myra - Hilario Paulino Escuro, Ena Magdalene - Joselito Ninobla, Emily Martha, Evita Marie - Ehmer Eduardo and Miguel Eleazar]; his grandchildren Rigel Francis, Regulus Fidelis, Regor Felician Maria, Freilich Ezekiel, Friedrich Emmanuel, Feodore Elijah, Ellianna Franzl, Paulo Andre, Earl Francis, Kristin Exiv, David Keigo, James Euclid, Jacob Eugene, Kiersten Moira, Kobe Mari Cesc, Kristoff Marius, Annika Erin, Alexa Erich and great grandchildren Kibb Andrea Milia and Zibb Andrea Noe. Ernesto is also survived by his other children Esperanza, Elmer and Earl Joseph.
