Ernie Layton, 49, of Trenton, New Jersey, passed away on April 4, 2024, in Ewing, New Jersey. Ernie, as he was affectionately known, was born on November 13, 1974.

Ernie had a passion for sports, particularly basketball, soccer, and football. His love for these activities brought joy and camaraderie to those around him.

He is survived by his wife, Mary-Ann Layton, Father, Kenneth Layton, Mother, Ira Sample, Brothers, Kenneth Layton II and James “POGO” Layton, Sisters, Lorkenra Layton and Ebonie Layton, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

The caring team at Jason Lloyd Funeral Home in Philadelphia, PA, is assisting with the arrangements for Ernie's final journey.

Ernie will be dearly missed by all who knew him, and his memory will forever live on in the hearts of those he touched.
