Ernie's obituary

Ernesto "Ernie" Garcia, 59, of Huntley, IL passed away on October 08, 2025 after a long battle with diabetes.

Ernie was predeceased by his father, Ernesto Sr. He is survived by his mother, Essie, and his sisters, Ana (Ben) and Cristina (Dave), as well as his beloved nieces, nephews, grand-nieces & grand-nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. After Ernie attended Lane Tech HS, he went on to study at the University of Illinois, Chicago where he majored in Political Science.  Ernie was an avid reader and lover of all things to do with animals, politics, music, the Mexican culture, travel (especially to Playa del Carmen) and being surrounded by family. His favorite medium was Instagram, Netflix and YouTube. He will be truly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
