Ernest's obituary
Ernest W Geroni, 80, a long time resident of Shrewsbury, passed away at home on
February 8, 2023. Ernie was born in Long Branch to William and Mary (Bruno)
Geroni. He was a graduate of Long Branch High School and completed his degree
at Monmouth University. Ernie retired from Allstate Life Insurance Co. as a claims
Adjuster.
He was predeceased by his parents, his beloved son Ernest F. Geroni in 2019, and
his loving wife of 55 years, Dorothy E. (O’Neill) Geroni, in February of 2022.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, William and Rebekah Geroni along
with his adored grandsons; Derek and Dylan, all of Union Beach.
In keeping with Ernie’s wishes, a private celebration of life will be held with close
family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, Ernest’s wishes were that any donations be made towards his
