Erin's obituary

In loving memory of our mother, Erin Elayne Casillas (Kennedy), 63, who passed away on August 21, 2022. She was a loving mother to us. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Our mother Erin, was a kind and caring person who always put the needs of her family before her own. She was a strong woman who faced every challenge in her life with courage and dignity. She was a woman of faith and she instilled in us the importance of hard work and doing what is right. Erin was born on August 18th, 1959 to Emmett Kennedy and Mary McBurney in Lynnwood, California. She graduated from El Rancho High School in 1977.  Erin met John Casillas in April 1987, and together they married, moved to Arizona, and had two children together. While raising two children, Erin went on to study at Arizona State University and received a Bachelor's Degree. We will never be able to fill the space left behind by her. Erin was predeceased by her parents Emmett and Mary. She is survived by her former husband, John Casillas; two daughters, Kelsey Casillas and Casandra Casillas; her grandchild, Kenzie Perry; and her two brothers, Eric Kennedy and Evin Kennedy.

Mom, you will always be in our hearts and we will never forget you. We love you so much. Rest in peace.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, January 15th in Mesa, Arizona.
