Erik, 56, of Falls Church, VA passed away suddenly after an FBI agent involved shooting while executing a search and arrest warrant in Fort Lauderdale Florida on Wednesday November 16, 2022. His family is shocked and deeply saddened by his loss.

Erik was born on December 07, 1965. He was the oldest of 9 siblings.

After graduating from Chico State High School in 1983, Erik attended Chico State University with a focus in Criminal Justice. Erik served the FBI for more than 30 years and was assigned to the FBI Swat HRT Team.  He was a bright and kind individual, who dedicated time towards various special needs children groups.  Erik and I have been married for 26 years and known each other for 32.  He changed my life more ways than I can even remember.  Challenging is to say the least.  I am so blessed and grateful for the precious gifts he has shared with me, most of which are my 3 amazing girls and his youngest brother Kristophr.  Anyone who knew Erik, knew that he was always willing to help those who were less fortunate, abandoned or unwanted, and he never judged. He was an amazing father, a great friend and an amazing husband.  Erik shared an immense passion for DC Comics and Movies and was an avid and frequent natural camper with his younger brother Kristophr, a former agent as well, who elected to pursue a music career.  Kristophr lives abroad with his daughter MIA and her Mother Vanessa, much to Eriks relief. 

Erik and Kristophr were the sole surviving brothers of their family; subsequent victims of the 2018 Camp Fire.  After their parents passed away Erik and Kris became very close, never a day went by Erik didn't worry about his little brother, always happy for him that he got the chance to be who he wanted to be.  While Erik may have envied his little brother, knowing how Kris looked up to him was one of the most amazing things a wife could ever witness. Erik always mentioned how he wished they had become closer sooner, or how Kristophr's genuine naivety was his source of incredible positivity [and worry].  Eriks Family, HRT Team, and friends will miss him more than words can say. Funeral services will be held in Falls Church VA.

It is with a heavy but humbled heart I must share that at 11:49am PST just moments ago after surviving 3 gunshots wounds at the service of the FBI my only remaining brother and family member, Erik was released from his physical service here on earth and summoned to return home where he shall serve with honor and integrity as the swiftest angel of justice for all of us who shall call upon him no matter the time or hour.

Erik was so happy to accept this new assignment he had no time to prepare.  While many of us expected him home for Thanksgiving and Christmas we must remain humble and diligent, to stand in his honor for all he sacrificed. you will be missed deeply.
