Erick's obituary
aka: Pooter, E1 and Edog
It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of Erick Ernest Lindberg who fought a long, hard battle with addiction, ending peacefully at the age 41, on December 3, 2023 in Redwood City. Erick was born to loving parents, Marie Ann (Koplen) and the late John Erick Lindberg, on April 29, 1982 in San Mateo, CA.
Erick was predeceased by his dad, John, in 1999. He is survived by his mom Marie partner Roger, devoted brother John Jr. and sister-in-law Korene (Oda), sister Sharise and brother-in-law Craig Caron. He was a cherished uncle to Blake, Conor, Lola, and Gianna, whom he admired endlessly; Also aunts, uncles, cousins and many, many great friends.
After graduating from Woodside High School in 2000, Erick joined the Operating Engineers, Local 3 and became a heavy equipment operator. He was an avid dirt bike rider, advancing to motocross where he competed at the top level. Sporting #244 he was one of the most successful riders of his era, winning first place in 1998 at the Las Vegas World Mini Grand Prix.
As we bid farewell to Erick, also known as Pooter, E1, and Edog we do so with gratitude for the laughter and memories he brought into our lives. Redwood City will never be the same without his unique sense of humor, boundless love, and unforgettable presence. He will be sorely missed, here’s to you, E1 - thank you for the laughs, the moments, and the enduring spirit of joy you shared with all of us.
A celebration of life will be held remembering and honoring Erick on Monday, December 18th, Saint Pius X Church, Redwood City CA 10:30 AM. Reception following at Harry’s Hofbrau 1909 El Camino Real Redwood City.
Erick is now at peace and at a future date will be laid to rest at Skyline Memorial Park with his Pops, who was the love of his life.
