Eric was always helping friends, helping to fix things in their houses, or their vehicles. And he was always doing some act of kindness for his kitties or dog relatives! One time at the vets, when walking by a dog in a kennel that the vet said was having a hard time, who was crying a bit, he immediately went over to it, talked to it, and gave it some attention and affection! Then there was when he had a cousin going through hard health issues, and he put together a "care package", meats his wife could use for good meals, and freeze until needed...he did that at least a couple of times. Often made homemade meals for family that could use it. I just always thought of him as someone who would give the shirt off his back for his friends and family.
