Eric Knickerbocker, 50, of Chico, California, passed away on August 2, 2025.

Eric was a devoted brother, son, uncle, and friend whose kindness and loyalty touched everyone who knew him. He is survived by his brother Daniel Kirkland; sisters Catina Skipper (Ronnie) and Stephanie Richards (Nathan); his dad Steve Kirkland, nieces Emmaline Richards and Renea Grimes; and nephew Lucas Richards.

A roofer by trade, Eric worked hard and took pride in his craft. Outside of work, he was a passionate fan of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Florida Gators, cheering for his teams with unwavering enthusiasm. He also loved animals and had a deep connection with them.

His laughter, loyalty, and love for his family and friends will be dearly missed.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at The Stage Room, 310 East Lemon St., Lakeland, FL 33801. Please plan to arrive between 11:00 and 11:15 AM to honor his memory together.
