Emma Lou Lee, age 88, was called to her eternal home peacefully on January 3, 2026, in Slidell, Louisiana surrounded by family.  Born on May 2, 1937, in Columbus Ohio, Emma spent her life dedicated to education and leadership within her community of Rogersville, Tennessee. Emma held a Master's Degree in Education and taught in the classroom for over 30 years and then spent over 20 additional years as a supervisor for the Hawkins County Board of Education. She raised 4 daughters, born to her and Roger Clausing, as well as fostered and cared for many teenage girls through the years. 

Emma is survived by her daughters, Peggy Clausing (Dick), Debra Clausing (Mick), Teresa Rowland (Larry), and Ruth Livingston (James) as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

Emma had an unwavering love for the Lord and her family. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, studying the Bible, and learning new things. She will be missed here but her legacy will live on through her family.
